When playing rugby, I will:
• Understand and demonstrate the core values of rugby (Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment,
Discipline, Sportsmanship)
• Recognise and appreciate the efforts made by coaches, match officials, team managers
and parents in providing a safe and enjoyable time
• Play because I want to, not just to please parents or coaches
• Train regularly to meet the demands of the game and take responsibility for my own health
and fitness.
• Be on time for all training events and games, be attentive at all rugby sessions,
• Recognise good play by all players on my team and by our opponents; win with dignity,
lose with grace
• Play to the Laws of the Game and accept, without question, all referees’ decisions even if
they appear to make a mistake
• Be a good ambassador for Old Caterhamians RFC whether at home, away or on tour
• Talk to someone I trust or the club safeguarding officer if I’m unhappy about anything at
the club
