On Sunday Old Cats under 12 met Reeds Weybridge in the final of the Waterfall Cup, Chairman's Shield Competition.
This was a fiercely fought final that both teams fully committed to. The rugby was of very high quality and fortunately Old Cats came out victorious, 45-15. A score line that doesn't really represent how tough the match was, with both teams fighting all the way to the final whistle.
The conditions were very tough and ground hard, that sadly resulted in a few injured players.
This success comes after a great season for the Under 12's who started the season with just 9 players and have now increased their squad size to 18. They are undefeated this season and only saw them knocked out of the Chairman's Cup competition when they drew at home against London Irish, with the away team going through in the event of a draw.
As their coach I'd like to thank all the players and parents for sticking with Old Cats through the tough start to the season and thanks to their commitment we have been able to achieve this final victory.
Here's looking forward to next season.
