Old Cats Under 12's travelled to Battersea Ironsides today (20/11/16), once again with a depleted team due to injuries and absent players. We played with 11 and Ironsides matched our numbers, albeit using all their subs during the match. The weather was cold, the wind was blustery and it was wet underfoot. The boys encountered a tough opponent and fought hard for the first 10 minutes before going over for their first try. Old Cats tackled well and defended their line on a number of occasions. Particular note to Ollie B and Theo for some outstanding tackling. It was another display of grit and determination, matched with some great team play. Max played the roaming full back role and once again played fantastically well. The whole team put a solid shift in and whilst at times they were we down to 10 players whilst a couple of the team nursed injuries, they tackled, supported, rucked and mauled really well. Every player deserves credit for this performance, along with the previous 4 matches.
